Ru Yi (如意), studbook #1021, is a male giant panda born on July 31, 2016 at the Ya'an Bifengxia Base. He traveled to Moscow Zoo in April 2019 alongside Ding Ding (丁丁) as part of a 15-year Sino-Russian conservation program. In 2023, he successfully mated with Ding Ding, resulting in the birth of Katyusha (喀秋莎) — the first giant panda ever born in Russia. He weighs approximately 136 kg, up from 96 kg on arrival.
