Ling Ling (灵灵, studbook #424) was a male giant panda born August 25, 1995 at Chongqing Zoo, son of the legendary matriarch Xin Xing (新星). He spent a decade at CCRCGP (2002-2012) participating in natural mating research, then returned to Chongqing Zoo where he died in 2020 from cirrhosis. He fathered over a dozen offspring, including Tuan Tuan (团团) and Mang Zai (莽仔), making him a cornerstone of the Xin Xing dynasty.
