Fa Fa (发发, studbook #931) is a female giant panda born on August 10, 2014 at the Wolong Hetaoping Base. Twin of Pu Pu, adopted by SPD Bank, she has lived at Shenyang Forest Zoo since 2017. In 2023, at age 9, keepers discovered she was actually female — she had been misidentified as male at birth. It took a false pregnancy to finally reveal the truth.
