Pan Pan dies at age 31

Pan Pan (studbook 308), the world's longest-lived captive male giant panda and genetic founder of ~25% of the global captive population, died at 4:50 AM at Dujiangyan Base due to perianal squamous cell carcinoma. He was 31 years old.
