Meng Meng (萌萌, studbook #652) is a female giant panda born September 13, 2006 at Chengdu Base. Known as the "Beijing Zoo Oscar Actress" (北动影后) for her expressive, dramatic personality. She is the mother of the famous Meng Lan (萌兰, "Third Prince"), as well as Meng Bao, Meng Yu, Meng Da, and Meng Er. Transferred from Chengdu to Beijing Zoo, she became one of Beijing's most beloved pandas and the matriarch of a star-studded family.
