Zhang Xiang (张想), the first captive-born female panda destined for wild release, was born to mother Zhang Ka in the semi-wild training enclosure at Wolong. She weighed 137.4g and has a twin sister Su Shan (苏珊, sb827).

Zhang Ka gave birth to twin daughters — Zhang Xiang, who would become the first female panda released to the wild, and Su Shan, a prolific breeding female.

Shin Shin (仙女/Xian Nv) arrived at Ueno Zoo in Tokyo, Japan together with her mate Ri Ri (比力, sb611) under a 10-year cooperative research agreement. They made their public debut on March 22, 2011, ending Ueno's three-year period without pandas since Ling Ling's death in 2008.

Le Sheng moved to Fuyang Ecological Park in Anhui, where she became a beloved local star known for her apple-loving antics and snow play.
