Life Journey

Birth (2016-06-27)

Ji Lan was born on June 27, 2016 at the Chengdu Research Base, the second female cub born to Ji Li and Mei Lan. She and her twin brother Ji Mei were the 9th litter for mother Ji Li, making her one of the most experienced mothers at the base.

Move to Nanning (2019-12-13)

On December 13, 2019, Ji Lan and Ji Mei were transferred to Nanning Zoo (南宁市动物园) in Guangxi, as part of a public education and conservation exhibition program.

Public Debut (2020-01-15)

After a month of adaptation, the twins officially debuted to the public on January 15, 2020, in Nanning Zoo’s specially designed panda pavilion.
