Jing Liang (Chinese: 晶亮, studbook number 1077) is a male giant panda born on July 10, 2017 at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.
His mother is Jing Jing (晶晶) — the inspiration for one of the five Fuwa mascots of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. His father is Qiao Qiao (乔乔). He comes from an “Olympic family” — his maternal grandparents and aunt all have Olympic connections.
On October 27, 2022, the Chengdu People’s Procuratorate, together with the Procuratorate Daily and the Chengdu Base, launched a series of prosecutor-themed emoji stickers featuring Jing Liang as the mascot. The set includes 24 animated stickers with phrases like “要得” (Got it), “比心” (Heart), and “巴适得很” (Awesome), divided into daily greetings and juvenile protection themes.
The project aimed to use Jing Liang’s adorable image to increase public awareness of juvenile legal protection.
On December 25–26, 2025, Jing Liang was transferred to Fuzhou Panda World for a 5-year science exchange program. On January 17, 2026, he debuted to the public at the renovated facility. He has reportedly adapted well to Fuzhou, consuming about 120 jin (60 kg) of bamboo daily. His keepers include a dedicated team of 8 who trained at the Chengdu Base.
