Zhong Zhong (Chinese: 中中) is a female giant panda born on August 14, 2022 at the China Conservation and Research Center for Giant Pandas (CCRCGP) Wolong Shenshuping Base. Her mother is Zhang Ka (张卡) and her twin brother is An Bao (安宝).
Adoption
On March 28, 2023, Zhong Zhong was adopted by Liu Zhong (刘中), a renowned panda painter and “Ya’an Panda Ambassador.” He named her “Zhong Zhong” (中中) to represent “China’s doctrine of the mean and the Chinese spirit.”
