Fuhin (Chinese: 枫浜) is a female giant panda born on November 22, 2020, at Adventure World in Shirahama, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan. She holds the global studbook number 1138 and is the 17th cub born at Adventure World under the Sino-Japanese breeding program.
Her father is Ei Mei (永明, studbook 416) and her mother is Rau Hin (良浜, studbook 511). She has numerous older siblings born at Adventure World, including Yuihin (优浜), Tohin (桃浜), Sakura Hin (樱浜), Yuhin (结浜), and Saihin (彩浜).
Birth Milestone
Due to COVID-19 pandemic travel restrictions, Chinese researchers from the Chengdu Base could not travel to Japan. Fuhin became the first giant panda cub at Adventure World to be delivered entirely by Japanese staff. Her sex was initially reported as male but corrected to female in December 2020.
Naming
From December 2020 to February 2021, the zoo held a naming contest receiving 110,000 entries. On March 18, 2021, “Fuhin” (枫浜) was announced as the winner. The name means “beautiful like an autumn maple, surrounded by love and happiness.”

Traffic Safety Ambassador

Return to China
On June 28, 2025, Fuhin departed Adventure World alongside three other pandas (Rau Hin, Saihin, and Yuhin). A farewell ceremony was held with approximately 3,500 attendees, co-organized by Adventure World and the Chinese Consulate General in Osaka. She arrived in Chengdu at 18:51 that evening and entered quarantine at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.
